23731. Jal Jeevan Mission: J&K plans to provide 100% tap water connection by 2022

- In Jammu and Kashmir, continuing with its efforts to cover 100 percent of rural households with functional tap water connections under Jal Jeevan Mission by 2022, the UT Administration has provided 4.62 lakh tap water connections in two years.
- J&K have covered 10.37 Lacs (56.51 percent) households with tap water connection to date and out of which 2.22 lakh tap water connections have been provided during the year 2020-21. The Jal Jeevan Mission has mobilized all its men and machinery in the ongoing 2nd phase, to cover 11 districts, which includes 153 blocks, 1,952 Panchayat, and 3,254 villages with 4.91 lakh Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs).
- During the last leg of JJM in J&K, seven districts involving 121 blocks, 1,660 Panchayat, and 2,623 villages shall be covered with 3.12 lakhs functional household tap connections. The objective of the department is to cover 100 percent of households in a time-bound manner while ensuring the functionality of already provided.

- Jal Shakti Ministry has approved drinking water supply schemes of rupees over two hundred sixty-seven crore for Uttarakhand under the Jal Jeevan Mission
- All 13 water supply schemes sanctioned are multi-village schemes. It will provide tap water connection to more than 23 thousand rural households. As of date, out of over 16 lakh rural households in the state, 7.43 lakh are getting tap water supply in their homes.
- The state plans to provide tap water connections to 2.64 lakh households by the end of next year. The Ministry has approved drinking water supply scheme worth over 493 crore rupees for 681 villages spread across nine districts benefiting 42 thousand households of Uttarakhand in past one week

- It may be recalled that the state had become a champion in meeting the 100 percent target of the first dose across the country and now is has achieved the 100 percent target of the second dose of covid vaccination and became the first state which fully vaccinated against covid 19.
- On this occasion, the Union Health Minister will felicitate the health workers of the state who have played significant role in completing the entire vaccination campaign in the state. For this, some selected health workers have been invited from all the districts of the state.

- India’s exports of Agricultural and Processed Food products rose by more than 13 percent in terms of US Dollars in the first eight months of the current fiscal compared to the same period of the previous year.
- The export of products under the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) ambit increased from 11,671 million dollars in April-November 2020-21 to 13,261 million in April-November 2021-22.
- The export of rice was the top forex earner at 5937 million dollars during April-November 2021-22. Meat, dairy and poultry products exports grew 12 percent. Fruits and vegetables exports were up by 12 percent to touch 1720 million dollars during April-November 2021-22 against 1536 million in April-November 2020-21.

- इससे पहले कर्नाटक के कोडागु जिले में नागरहोल नेशनल पार्क और टाइगर रिजर्व के बाहरी इलाकों में केंद्रीय री-हैब (RE-HAB) योजना की शुरूआत की गई थी । प्रोजेक्ट री-हैब का उद्देश्य मधुमक्खियों की मदद से मानव बस्तियों में हाथियों के हमलों को विफल करना है।
- आरई-एचएबी परियोजना के तहत मानवीय बस्तियों में हाथियों के प्रवेश को अवरुद्ध करने के लिए उनके मार्ग में मधुमक्खी पालन के बक्से स्थापित करके "मधुमक्खियों की बाड़" लगाई जाती है। इन बक्सों को एक तार से जोड़ा जाता है ताकि जब हाथी वहां से गुजरने का प्रयास करता है, तो एक खिंचाव या दबाव के कारण मधुमक्खियां हाथियों के झुंड की तरफ चली आती हैं और उन्हें आगे बढ़ने से रोकती हैं। यह परियोजना जानवरों को कोई नुकसान पहुंचाए बिना ही मानव और जंगली जानवरों के बीच संघर्षों को कम करने का एक किफ़ायती तरीका है।
- हाथियों को भगाने के लिए मोरनोई और दहिकाटा गांवों में एक सप्ताह के भीतर कुल 330 मधुमक्खी बक्से अलग-अलग जगहों पर रखे जाएंगे। इन गांवों के 33 किसानों और शिक्षित युवाओं को केवीआईसी द्वारा मधुमक्खियों के ये बक्से दिए गए हैं, जिनके परिवार हाथियों से प्रभावित हुए हैं।

- गुजरात के वीरपुर के रहने वाले मनसुख दुधात्रा भी उनमें से एक हैं। वे पिछले कुछ सालों से सीताफल, अनार, अमरूद और पपीते जैसे फलों की खेती कर रहे हैं। गुजरात के साथ ही मध्यप्रदेश, राजस्थान जैसे राज्यों में वे अपने फलों की मार्केटिंग कर रहे हैं। कुछ प्रोडक्ट उन्होंने दुबई भी भेजे हैं। इससे सालाना 10 लाख रुपए उनकी कमाई हो जाती है।
- अभी उनके पास करीब हाइब्रिड किस्म के 900 सीताफल के प्लांट्स हैं। वे कहते हैं कि इस साल भारी बारिश के बदा भी अच्छे रख-रखाव से हर दिन 35 से 40 किलोग्राम सीताफल का प्रोडक्शन हम कर रहे हैं। सीताफल बाजार में 40 रुपए से 120 रुपए प्रति किलो बिक रहा है।
